Who am I
Hi, I’m Alobi
You’ve seen the work. The rest of this page is about me: where I grew up, where my name came from, the awards so far, and what I do outside of studio.
I’m Zihe (Alobi) Huang, studying Human-Computer Interaction and Architecture @ Carnegie Mellon University. Most of my work starts with people: an underinvested community, 15,000+ college students, and anyone who deserves better design.
You’ve seen the work. The rest of this page is about me: where I grew up, where my name came from, the awards so far, and what I do outside of studio.
I moved to Pittsburgh for Carnegie Mellon, and I travel whenever studio lets me. Every dot on this map is somewhere I’ve been.
Why people call me Alobi
My parents call me “Little A.” The A became the beginning of another name.
I remembered hearing it in a dream. Strange, specific, and somehow mine.
Maybe that was the sound I heard. But Alobi was the version that stayed.
There’s music on almost all the time. I bring a camera when I travel, and I’ll go a long way for a good meal with friends. Most of the photo wall further down comes from those trips.
Family, friends, a lot of food, and the places I’ve been. Drag the wall to look around.
